Richard Daigle- 10.17.26

Richard Daigle is a New Orleans born, full-blooded Cajun singer-songwriter with original songs inspired by his one time dinner companion and interview subject John Prine. Daigle’s song “Cajun People” made semi finalist in the prestigious ISC (International Songwriting Competition), and other of his songs made the finals of Seniors Got Talent contest and twice in the Chattanooga finals of TN Songwriter week. Reviewing Daigle’s song “I Still Say We,” Hyperhub Magazine's said the song “is a reflection on the complicated interplay between love, identity and endurance. Richard Daigle has crafted something genuine, and in today’s world of overly policies sound, that honesty is what resonates most.” Reviewing “Cajun People,” BlueRhymez said the song “serves as both a love letter and anthem for the community that raised Daigle…the song pays homage to the vibrant culture and warm hospitality of Louisiana while showcasing his own heartfelt songwriting talent.” Reviewer Robert Silverstein of Roots Music Report said Daigle “is reminiscent of some Arlo Guthrie, some Bob Dylan and of course, the late great John Prine.” Daigle has three albums out, “Average Joe, “Cajun People” and “Gentle Man,” and is currently working on a fourth album with his Chattanooga-based producer Butch Ross.
