Scott Ivey- 12.27.25

Scott's Chris Stapleton'esq voice belts out tenor lines with ease over tasty grooves and melodies, but there's depths to the lyrics as well.

With a voice that echoes the gritty soul of Chris Stapleton, Scott Ivey delivers soaring tenor lines over infectious grooves and melodies that linger long after the last note fades.

Backed by his band, The Filthy Frets, Scott’s music is a raw, homegrown blend of rock, country, and blue-eyed soul, infused with a touch of 90s nostalgia. His lyrics dive deep, balancing introspective storytelling with an out-of-the-box familiarity that feels both fresh and timeless.

A seasoned artist with over three decades in the music industry, Scott has been a force since his teens, weaving through touring bands, record labels, and solo ventures. His relentless dedication has earned him a string of accolades, including winning the 2016 Belk Southern Musician Showcase, being named 2023 winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, as well as multiple songwriting honors from the International Singer-Songwriters Association (2019-2021). His work has been praised by outlets like American Songwriter and Music Connection for its authenticity and emotional resonance.

In October 2024, Scott signed with Spectra Music Group, the world’s largest independent label, a testament to the enduring quality of his craft. His debut EP with Spectra, Fair-weather Friend, dropped on January 31, 2025, showcasing his signature raspy edge and soulful grit.

With The Filthy Frets—comprising long-time rockers known for their tight, dynamic performances—Scott’s live shows are a masterclass in energy and connection, leaving audiences hungry for more.

Scott Ivey and The Filthy Frets are only getting started.

Their music is raw, real, and unapologetically soulful—a sound you need to hear to believe.
