Hitmakers Series with Marla Cannon-Goodman, Dylan Altman & Adam Wright $20- 10.1.26

Marla Cannon-Goodman

Marla Cannon-Goodman, a talented songwriter from Kingston Springs, Tennessee, grew up surrounded by the pulse of country music. Her father, Buddy Cannon, played a key role in shaping the careers of both new and legendary country artists as a producer, songwriter, and record label executive. Inspired by her father’s work, Marla soon found her own voice in the country music scene and quickly became one of the genre’s most respected hit-makers.

Since her first cut by Sammy Kershaw in 1996, Marla has established herself as a prolific songwriter with songs recorded by some of country music’s biggest stars. Her songwriting credits include George Strait, Eddie Arnold, Eric Church, Billy Currington, Mindy Smith, Kenny Chesney, and Sara Evans, among others. Her chart-topping hits include Lee Ann Womack’s number-one smash “The Fool,” Tracy Byrd’s “Ten Rounds With José Cuervo,” and Rodney Atkins’ “Cleaning This Gun,” which also reached the top spot on the charts. In addition to these successes, Marla co-wrote Blake Shelton’s top-15 hit single “Don’t Make Me.”

Marla’s success has extended beyond commercial hits, as her work has appeared on notable albums such as the Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard duet album *Django and Jimmie*, where her song “Unfair Weather Friend” was featured. This recognition highlights her ability to craft songs that resonate deeply within the country music community, earning her a place among the genre’s most-beloved songwriters.

With a career spanning decades, Marla Cannon-Goodman has solidified her position as a respected and influential figure in country music, continuing to leave her mark with every song she writes.

Dylan Altman

Dylan Altman: Originally from New Jersey, Dylan Altman has been making his mark in Nashville’s music scene since 1995. As a talented songwriter and performer, Altman has crafted hit songs across a variety of genres, earning him recognition and respect in the country music world. Throughout his career, he has written three #1 songs: Tim McGraw’s “Watch The Wind Blow By,” Jake Owen’s “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” and Jason Aldean’s “Take A Little Ride.” These chart-topping tracks are just a glimpse of the lasting impact Altman’s songwriting has had on the industry.

In addition to the major hits, Altman’s songs have been recorded by a wide range of artists, including Eric Paslay, Chase Bryant, Joe Nichols, Eli Young Band, Gloriana, Jennette McCurdy, Trace Adkins, Will Hoge, Gabe Dixon, John King, JT Hodges, The Almost, Ted Russell Kamp, Hayden Panettiere, and Jonathan Jackson. His versatility as a songwriter has allowed him to collaborate with both established and up-and-coming artists, making him a sought-after talent in Nashville.

Beyond his songwriting achievements, Altman is an avid supporter of charitable causes. He is a dedicated volunteer for Musicians On Call, an organization that brings live music to patients in hospitals. He also co-hosts an annual benefit for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) alongside his good friend and collaborator, Eric Paslay.

Altman’s greatest pride, however, is his beautiful daughter, Isabella, who serves as his greatest inspiration and motivation. His love for family and his commitment to giving back are central to his identity both as a musician and as a person.

Adam Wright

With two Grammy nominations under his belt ("So You Don't Have To Love Me" - Best Country Song/Alan Jackson, "All The Trouble" - Best American Roots Song/Lee Ann Womack), Wright continues to be a songwriter's songwriter. His songs have been recorded by Nashville giants like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and Lee Ann Womack as well as lyric luminaries like Robert Earl Keen, Brandy Clark and Bruce Robison.

Adam Wright writes “songs about people”, as he states in his utterly gut wrenching and masterfully written song “The Banker” from his second solo album ‘Dust’. A true singer/songwriter, Wright colors in the shapes of characters so numerous and diverse you’d need a series of novels to tell their full stories. He is capable of Mark Twain humor ("Hard Work"/Lonesome River Band) and Leonard Cohen gravity ("The Lifeguard"/Adam Wright - 'Terms of Agreement', "Dark Life"/Adam Wright - 'Dust'). His upcoming release, 'Nature of Necessity' is an 18 song behemoth and masterclass of song craft and storytelling. 'Nature of Necessity' will be released in four installments throughout 2025, the first of which being released early February. For more listening, check out Wright’s discography as well as the superb ‘Friends of Adam’ project - a collection of Wright songs performed live by some of Nashville’s finest singers, songwriters and musicians.

The Zmed Brothers- 10.2.26

The Zmed Brothers — Zach & Dylan Zmed — are an Americana brother duo celebrated for their rich blood-harmony vocals, deep reverence for American roots music, and dynamic musicianship. Originally from Southern California’s San Fernando Valley and now based in Middle Tennessee in Nashville’s “Big Backyard,” they are regarded as torchbearers of the storied American tradition of harmony-driven country and roots music, echoing the influence of legends like The Everly Brothers while forging their own creative path.

Raised in a household steeped in performance, the brothers’ earliest musical experiences were shaped by a blend of classic American repertoire and theatrical discipline. Their father, actor and singer Adrian Zmed, introduced them to touring life and live performance, while their mother, an educator, fostered their earliest public appearances. From these beginnings, the Zmed Brothers developed an instinctive connection to sibling harmony and American musical storytelling.

From 2007 to 2015, Zach and Dylan honed their craft as members of The Janks, a Los Angeles–based indie folk-rock band known for its energetic blend of punk ethos and Americana storytelling. As they grew artistically, they transitioned into performing as a duo throughout the greater Los Angeles area, developing a devoted following of listeners who responded to their original music alongside carefully curated classics. During this formative period they received recognition including Best Country Song at the Global Peace Awards and shared the stage with acclaimed songwriter Billy Steinberg.

In 2015, the brothers expanded their artistic mission by creating The Everly Brothers Experience, a deeply researched and passionately performed production honoring the legacy of Don and Phil Everly — two of the most influential sibling performers in American music history. Rather than imitation, their show celebrates the spirit and craft of the Everly Brothers’ close harmonies, country roots, and pioneering contributions to early rock and roll. Their performances have been presented across the United States and overseas, appearing in theaters, performing arts centers, and festivals, consistently praised for their fidelity to the original sound and heartfelt interpretive depth.

The Zmed Brothers’ commitment to the country duo tradition extends beyond homage. In Honky Tonk Harmonies, their 2025 full-stage production, they trace the evolution of honky-tonk — from early string bands and Appalachian influences through the golden era of post-war country and rockabilly — weaving historical context, archival storytelling, and original compositions into a narrative celebration of the genre. That same year they launched the Blood Harmony Americana Series, a curated performance series spotlighting the roots of American songwriting via stripped-down, intimate presentations of classic material. They also released their roots-driven holiday album Yuletide Hayride.

Across all their endeavors, the Zmed Brothers champion a philosophy rooted in authenticity: honoring musical heritage while advancing it through original creation. Their tight vocal blend, grounded in familial chemistry, and their multi-genre fluency connect audiences to the timeless power of country duet tradition and the broader Americana canon. They continue to perform nationally and internationally under their own name and through thematic projects, building a lasting legacy that bridges generations of American music.

Righteous Intonation- 10.23.26

Righteous Intonation is a acoustic string band from San Antonio, Texas, dedicated to bringing forgotten stories of the American frontier to life through original music. Drawing inspiration from Settler history, cattle drives, Civil War accounts, frontier legends, and the people who shaped the American West, the band writes songs that blend historical authenticity with compelling storytelling.

Their sound combines soaring four part harmonies, driving bluegrass instrumentation, and rich acoustic arrangements featuring guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and upright bass. Influenced by artists such as Marty Robbins, Tony Rice, Doc Watson, and Townes Van Zandt, Righteous Intonation bridges traditional bluegrass, old time, folk, and Western music while creating a style that is distinctly their own.

Rather than simply preserving traditional songs, the band focuses on writing new music rooted in real history. Their performances transport audiences to another era through vivid narratives, memorable melodies, and energetic musicianship. Whether recounting the lives of frontier settlers, cowboys, Civil War soldiers, or lesser known figures from American history, each song is crafted to entertain while keeping these stories alive.

Equally at home in listening rooms, bluegrass festivals, folk venues, cowboy gatherings, and performing arts centers, Righteous Intonation delivers engaging live performances that balance heartfelt ballads, high energy instrumentals, and close vocal harmony. Their mission is to celebrate the people, places, and events that shaped the American West while introducing audiences to a fresh collection of original songs inspired by its enduring legacy.

The Stones River Reelers- 9.5.26

The Stones River Reelers is an Old Time Stringband. We play hardcore traditional music from the heart of the Volunteer State. We Play Dances, Concerts, & Events Both Public and Private.

The Stones River Reelers play old-time dance tunes and songs from a century ago.  What the deuce is that? Well, Herman Crook said it best in 1974:

“It has changed a lot, but it shouldn’t have changed. It should be the same all the way through, ’cause people that comes to see ... they’re coming to see—what they expect to see—is the old-time music. That’s what it's supposed to be. That’s the way it started out, and it's not supposed to be a change in it.”

Like all the great old-timers, we play this venerated music to avoid hard labor.

Miles Victor Band- 8.29.26

Miles Victor is an Americana/Bluegrass artist, whose every chord and lyrics coalesce into a symphony of heartbreak & hope. Drawing inspiration from the soulful resonance of The Avett Brothers, the reckless abandon of Old Crow Medicine Show and the timeless allure of old-time country & bluegrass, his music blends the grit of tradition with a modern lyrical edge. Bringing the spiritual down to earth and the mundane up to the heavens.

His sets combine stirring originals and well-loved covers played in ways you'd never expect.

With a voice that commands attention and lyrics that cut to the bone, Miles brings a rare blend of vulnerability and energy to every stage he steps on. His songs are deeply autobiographical yet universally resonant. Joined by some of the most skilled musicians in the genre, his live shows are equal parts revival, release, and raw communion, built for festival fields, theaters, and everywhere in between.

The harmonies hit deep, the playing is electric, and the shows are a celebration... of sorrow of joy and above all hope.

Currently recording his debut project, alongside some of the genres most respected musicians, Miles Victor is emerging as one of Americana’s most compelling new voices.

Carolina Pine- 8.1.26

Prior to the formation of Carolina Pine, both members had notable acheivement in Country Music, including sharing stages with artists like Billy Ray Cyrus, Larry Gatlin, Jimmy Fortune, Blue Highway, Kidd Rock and many more.

Woody James, raised in Millington, Illinois, learned to sing at a young age from his mother teaching him gospel songs. Woody’s father also instilled in him a deep love and knowledge for all music, which brought him to Nashville, Tennessee at age 22. Shortly after, he met his now partner, Kennedy Scott, in front of the renowned Ryman Auditorium.

Similar to Woody, Clayton, North Carolina native Kennedy Scott, learned to sing at an early age thanks to her papa who introduced her to artists like Emmylou Harris, Allison Krauss, and The Everly Brothers. The musical tradition in her family extends to many other relatives; including her father who builds her guitars.

The duo first sang together for a YouTube video of “We Must Have Been Out Of Our Minds,” written by the great Melba Montgomery and sang with country icon George Jones. The video instantly got over 100,000 views. Woody and Kennedy knew right away they wanted to write and record music together. Since then, they have toured with Country Music Hall of Fame member Alan Jackson, received radio play, warmed up the crowd for people like Phil Vassar, Luke Combs, and many more, as well as received endorsements from “Fishman” and “Kyser”.

Karli & James- 7.18.26

“There’s nothing like writing songs,” says Karli Chayne, lead singer in rising country duo Karli & James. “The vibe I get when I’m putting my feelings on paper, then turning those emotions into a song…it just does it for me.” Her partner, James Sinclair-Stott, is equally enthusiastic about the recording process: “The really exciting part for me is taking a song we’ve written on acoustic guitar and making it a full-blown, radio-quality production.”

Those two perspectives are crucial to the energy this duo brings to their artistry. Karli leans pure country; James leans indie rock, and the result is a refreshingly modern blend that the critics love. “Karli’s winsome soprano takes the lead with James’s soft harmony backing her flawlessly.…Well produced and radio ready,” notes Robert K. Oermann, MusicRow magazine.

And the duo is digging even deeper as they mature as a couple and as artists. Someday Dreaming¬, the EP the duo is currently recording, represents the culmination of that growth. Every song is co-written by Karli and James, with James’s as the solo producer.

In addition to refining their musical niche, Karli & James have spent the last few years honing their live performance chops and building an audience. In addition to playing historic venues in Nashville, the duo has also opened for Brandy Clark, Lonestar, Uncle Kracker, Casey Donahew, Thompson Square, Mark Chesnutt, Sara Evans and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

THE Jake Leg Stompers evoke the rebellious spirit and colorful pageantry of American popular music before the Second World War, from the Memphis blues to Gullah ring shouts when jazz began, vaudeville was urgent and folk music was still dangerous. From their home base in Murfreesboro TN, The Jake Leg Stompers have been serving up chicken-fried , pre-war, hokum-billy jug music since 2005. Acclaimed for their spirited, eclectic, and wildly unpredictable performances, the Stompers evoke the ethos and repertoire of early juke joints, speakeasies and 20th-century medicine shows featuring period dress and vintage instruments.

"There is a swagger to the Jake Leg Stompers. they play their version of old timey music and make it relevant to this day and age. It may be old-times but its not elderly." --Offbeat Magazine

"Jake Leg Stompers resurrect the rent-party vibe of music in feast or famine America between the World Wars, performed with joyous abandon. JLS sing and swing traditional songs on traditional instruments ...washboard, banjo, fiddle, and guzzle tradition like vintage port from a Bama-Jelly jar." --Nashville Scene

Brooklyn Ray Duo- 6.20.26

Brooklyn’s passion for country music was grown in the red dirt of her hometown and in the soul of the songs she grew up listening to. She remembers the first time she heard the song, “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” by Zac Brown Band as a kid, and finding herself with tears in her eyes. She credits that song and artists like Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, and Carrie Underwood for the spark that lit her flame for country music.

Her musical style reflects both classic and modern country music, and has been compared to Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, and Lainey Wilson. Brooklyn is excited to announce the completion of her debut single, and a release date to come in the year 2025.

Brooklyn puts on a passionate and engaging performance. Her experience as a singer and artist is evident in her professionalism on and offstage. Her schedule consists of live shows, songwriting, and traveling to new towns and cities to perform. She is currently booking festivals; stages in bars, restaurants, and music venues; private events; and songwriting showcases. Her main passion is performing her own original music, which she integrates into her performances.

Brooklyn is a sweetheart, with a flair for sass and humor. Her shows are both heartwarming and emotional in her original songs and choice of covers. Her career is just getting started, and loves meeting new fans and supporters!
