Some things are just meant to be. Alicia Best (US) and Robert Jackson (UK) met while busking on the cobbled streets of Ireland and discovered both a musical and personal harmony that was serendipitous. In the decade since forming A Different Thread, Best and Jackson have taken their act on the road, touring over a dozen countries, supporting artists such as Milk Carton Kids and Jody Stephens (Big Star), and garnering critical praise from the likes of Folk Radio UK, which hailed the duo as “warm, deep songwriters that have drank from the well of 20th century tradition.”
Their sound is transcontinental, blending Jackson's British folk rock background with Best's North Carolina-bred alt-country melodies. Informed by their life experiences (navigating visas, vanlife, love across oceans) and liberal commentary on both environmental and social justice topics. While inspired by artists like Gillian Welch, The Avett Brothers, and John Prine, A Different Thread maintain a distinct sound that is all their own.

Singer-songwriter Anna La Mare (ANuh Lah MAH-ray) blends roots music and Celtic storytelling with Southern Gothic elements to create stormy, poetic Americana animated by her powerful and haunting voice. She been described as "emotional honey," "folky Florence and the Machine," "indie Joan Baez" and "a soul-driven embodiment of Joni Mitchell." Her haunting and provocative writing is as vulnerable as it is brave, offering you a home within her deeply personal and universally relatable world.
With her ghostly, road-worn and soulful voice, La Mare sings the stories she's picked up in her travels, enlivening the wanderer in every listener.
La Mare has held international residencies, performed in dimly lit venues, and graced festivals as well as songwriter showcases across the United States and abroad. She recently earned a grant from the City of Austin Live Music Fund to produce her first album, has played hundreds of shows, as well as wrote songs with greats like Mick Flannery, Terry Klein, Jeff Plankenhorn, and Pete Damore from Ordinary Elephant.

As one half of Award winning duo McAlister Kemp that folded in early 2015, late 2015 saw the first 2 video singles, “How We Roll Around Here” and “Small Town Girl” from “Against The Grain”, Troy’s debut solo album, both climb their way to the #1 Spot on CMC, The Country Music Channel, and both hit the #1 spot on the Australian Top 40 Country Radio Charts.

Peedy Chavis is a 21-year-old rock and soul singer. Yes, you read that right, a little less ‘roll’ and a little more ‘soul!’ Born in Lawrenceville, GA, Peedy grew up on everything from the Doobie Brothers to James Brown, from Jim Croce to Johnny Cash to Elvis Presley. Peedy’s family encouraged his natural talent for singing, as he aspired to be a singer ever since he could talk. At the age of 12, Peedy picked up the guitar. Peedy wrote his first song in the 8th grade and quickly fell in love with writing music. In May of 2021, Peedy seized the opportunity to further his music career. He traveled to Burbank, California to be a competitor on NBC’s television show, The Voice. After spending months in California on the show, Peedy placed in the top 20 and then moved to Nashville, TN. Once getting to Nashville, he has been gigging downtown at Ole Red. Blake Shelton, Peedy's former coach on The Voice, owns the establishment.
In January of 2023, Peedy recorded his first original EP in Memphis, Tennessee. He recorded at his dream studio, Royal Studios, with Grammy-Award-winning engineer Boo Mitchell and producer Jason Clark.

Currently residing in Memphis, Austin began to develop his unique style on the guitar at the age of twelve when he was introduced to the man who would kindle his love for performing. Jody Payne had just retired from 36 years as the lead guitar player for Willie Nelson and became fascinated with the skinny youngster about whom he told others, “reminds me of me.”
Several years after Jody’s passing, another Nashville legend took an interest in the young artist. Songwriter Jimmy Yeary—with CMA and ACM Song of the Year Awards—began to mentor Austin regarding all aspects of his career. Currently, the two even do corporate events together—speaking, playing, and singing— demonstrating to business people the purpose and power of mentoring.
Austin has become known as one of a handful of artists to whom audiences listen intently. His songwriting—lyrics and music—combine the influences of Jason Isbell, Shakey Graves, Merle Haggard, Sturgill Simpson, and Jimmy Yeary. Mix in a bit of John Prine with some of his original material and you might just have a picture of Austin Gray.

The Deltaz

Shut the screen door on the back porch and throw another log on the fire of the barbecue. Then go inside, pull out your favorite Deltaz album and throw it on the turntable. Heavy blues, roots rock, classic country and the blood harmony of two brothers will pour out of your stereo. Brothers John Siegel and Ted Siegel spend many of their days perfecting new records at a handmade mobile Airstream studio behind their residence just outside of Nashville Tennessee. Before relocating they had become mainstays at a Southern Californian institution, The Old Place, regularly performing for patrons at the ever-packed restaurant in the Santa Monica Mountains where the boys grew up. There, they caught the ear of the late bassist Rick Rosas (Neil Young, Joe Walsh), who became a mentor to the group. They spend their remaining hours rigorously touring, headlining shows across the country, regularly touring in Europe, while attracting the attention of sonic peers such as alt-country act The White Buffalo and Mississippi Blues legend Watermelon Slim, playing with both on several occasions. The Deltaz have had their music placed on CMT and MTV television shows and most recently The Deltaz had their song “Wild Mustang” featured in a film directed by Edward James Olmos, “The Devil Has a Name”, recorded as a duet with vocal rock legend Bonnie Bramlett (Eric Clapton, Leon Russell)
The Deltaz were formed while the brothers were still in high school. The boys had already immersed themselves in roots American music by that point, and this passion led them both to quickly pick up their respective instruments of choice. Ted lays down a bluesy, searing reminiscent slide guitar on his 1950s Harmony Rocket he calls “Huck”, while commanding drummer John has expanded his role behind the drum set to include impressive harmonica work and vocal harmonies that leave audiences overwhelmed at his coordination. The two have clearly learned to work with each other, feeding off of each other’s talents to bring ever-climactic performances to energized and extremely diverse audiences. In 2018 the brothers lost their home and studio in the mountains of Southern California to The Woolsey forest fire and decided to relocate to Nashville in 2020 for a fresh start. With The Deltaz mobile studio in tow the brothers have been crafting their most ambitious album to date, overflowing with all the heavy roots rock goodness their audiences have come to know.

Mad Dog Smith & Animal Control are a Tennessee based band that performs a rootsy blend of old-time music, bluegrass, and country blues. Josh ‘Mad Dog’ Smith is known for his country blues ballads, banjo mastery, and guitar flatpicking and fingerpicking. His powerful vocals and unique arrangements make every performance a surprise. Josh has performed bluegrass and old-time music for the past 20 years all over the world with roots supergroups, the Glade City Rounders and the Gallinippers. Over the years, Josh has performed on stage at the Station Inn of Nashville, Bluegrass Underground at Cumberland Caverns, Muddy Roots Music Festival in Cookeville, TN, Muddy Roots Music Festival in Waardamme, Belgium, and the Carter Family Fold, just to name a few. At the Station Inn and Bluegrass Underground, he performed to a sold-out crowd. Besides performing, Josh is also very knowledgeable about the music he performs and can share facts about the history, artists, and offer an educational experience, if the setting is right.
In his performances, you can hear the influence of artists like Doc Watson, Tommy Jarrell, Leadbelly, and Gus Cannon. Animal Control is Mad Dog’s band and is made up of some of the best roots musicians in the area. With the combination of acoustic guitar, banjo, fiddle, harmonica, and upright bass, the sound that Mad Dog Smith & Animal Control produce is hard driving and exciting. During performances, the band is known to swap instruments and play a wide variety of songs. The audience is never disappointed with a Mad Dog Smith & Animal Control performance.

Phil O’Donnell
Phil O’Donnell, a Canada native, made his first trip to Nashville in 1983 and began developing his skills as a songwriter. Officially making the move in 1994, O’Donnell worked as a musician, playing guitar with many artists including Craig Morgan, Jeff Carson, Kevin Denney, Johnny Lee, and Sherrie Austin.

Casey Beathard
Moved to Nashville in 1991 after graduating from Elon College (NC) & playing the Northern Va. Bars long enough to know music was all he wanted to do. He chose music over "the family business" of football. His father is in Canton's Pro Football Hall Of Fame as a multiple Super Bowl champion former GM of the Dolphins , Redskins & San Diego Chargers. His brothers are a coach & scout @ the Pro & college levels. He also has an oldest son (CJ) playing QB in The NFL.
"Mom's love for music , playing piano & singing, got ahold of me early in life", says Casey. "I learned to best express myself by writing notes & stories to those I had something to say to".
He later in life combined making music with his story telling & next thing ya know Nashville called his heart like it does all country music artists. Beathard worked 2 jobs a day, The Country music Hall of fame by day & The blue bird cafe by night. Talk about a learning experience, these jobs were very instrumental in the networking process.
Casey became a demo singer & then a recording artist on Capitol records for a short time. Having kids & beginning to get recordings of songs he wrote made it easy to decide to just write songs. Beathard was BMI & NSAI Songwriter of the year in both '04 & '08. Unique might be the best way to describe Kenny Durham. With his handlebar mustache, tall boots, and cowboy hat, he looks like a cowboy poet or country singer right out of the Old West. Kenny sings a wide variety of songs from rock and roll, to bluegrass, to oldies. He's always willing to share his compositions and hashed some success as a writer. Back in the '80's Kenny and two co-writers wrote a song, "FIREWORKS" for the group ALABAMA, and it made its way on to two albums, "FORTY HOUR WEEK" and "ALABAMA LIVE".
Kenny was influenced greatly by the immortal JOHN DENVER and overwhelmed by his death, Kenny composed his song, "GOODBYE JOHN", and performs an annual tribute concert in Denver's memory.
Due to Kenny's love of music, he has traveled throughout the United States and Canada to perform. He's shared the stage with country music greats such as George Jones, The Charlie Daniels Band, T Graham Brown, and Barbara Mandrel just to name a few. Shut the screen door on the back porch and throw another log on the fire of the barbecue. Then go inside, pull out your favorite Deltaz album and throw it on the turntable. Heavy blues, roots rock, classic country and the blood harmony of two brothers will pour out of your stereo. Brothers John Siegel and Ted Siegel spend many of their days perfecting new records at a handmade mobile Airstream studio behind their residence just outside of Nashville Tennessee. Before relocating they had become mainstays at a Southern Californian institution, The Old Place, regularly performing for patrons at the ever-packed restaurant in the Santa Monica Mountains where the boys grew up. There, they caught the ear of the late bassist Rick Rosas (Neil Young, Joe Walsh), who became a mentor to the group. They spend their remaining hours rigorously touring, headlining shows across the country, regularly touring in Europe, while attracting the attention of sonic peers such as alt-country act The White Buffalo and Mississippi Blues legend Watermelon Slim, playing with both on several occasions. The Deltaz have had their music placed on CMT and MTV television shows and most recently The Deltaz had their song “Wild Mustang” featured in a film directed by Edward James Olmos, “The Devil Has a Name”, recorded as a duet with vocal rock legend Bonnie Bramlett (Eric Clapton, Leon Russell)
The Deltaz were formed while the brothers were still in high school. The boys had already immersed themselves in roots American music by that point, and this passion led them both to quickly pick up their respective instruments of choice. Ted lays down a bluesy, searing reminiscent slide guitar on his 1950s Harmony Rocket he calls “Huck”, while commanding drummer John has expanded his role behind the drum set to include impressive harmonica work and vocal harmonies that leave audiences overwhelmed at his coordination. The two have clearly learned to work with each other, feeding off of each other’s talents to bring ever-climactic performances to energized and extremely diverse audiences. In 2018 the brothers lost their home and studio in the mountains of Southern California to The Woolsey forest fire and decided to relocate to Nashville in 2020 for a fresh start. With The Deltaz mobile studio in tow the brothers have been crafting their most ambitious album to date, overflowing with all the heavy roots rock goodness their audiences have come to know.

Parker Hastings is a 22 year old guitarist, singer, and songwriter originally from Richmond, KY. He began taking guitar lessons at age six and quickly became hooked to the instrument, learning many different styles of music. After several years of dedication to learning the guitar, Parker started performing live before audiences. By age twelve he met his hero, Tommy Emmanuel, who has been a mentor and friend to Parker, putting him in front of new audiences so they can discover Parker and his music. Since that time, Parker has traveled across the country entertaining audiences with his skillful guitar playing, easy to listen to voice, accompanied by a touch of southern charm. He is proud to carry on the tradition of Kentucky thumbpicking as he continues to find his own sound through his greatest musical influences. Parker is a two-time recipient of the ‘Thumbpicker of the Year” award by the National Thumbpicker’s Hall of Fame, and has won several national guitar competitions. He was also named the 2023 Artist in Residence at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame in his home state. Parker graduated from Belmont University in 2022 with a degree in Music Business, and now resides in Nashville, TN pursuing his career as an artist & musician, but most recently, Parker has been working on a new recording project, making this his third studio album, set to be released in July 2023.

Dr. Donny Van Slee is a chiropractor by day and a musician by night. While in school, participating in an internship, he made a pitstop in Nashville and fell in love with the music scene. He went out on a limb and emailed a few of the music venues in Nashville, remarkably landing a gig at Tootsies. He received his doctorate as a chiropractor and immediately relocated to Nashville to participate in Tootsies' Honky Tonk School. Three years later, he's still in Nashville, balancing music and chiropractic. Five days a week, he's caring for nearly 50 patients daily, then he's downtown gigging at night. In February, he released his debut album, "31." His major goals are to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium and Red Rocks Amphitheater. Donny feels lucky to have his family in Florida supporting his music journey every step of the way.

She credits that song and artists like Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, and Carrie Underwood for the spark that lit her flame for country music.
Her musical style reflects both classic and modern country music, and has been compared to Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, and Lainey Wilson. Brooklyn is excited to announce the completion of her debut single, and a release date to come in the year 2025.
