Cole Greenwalt- 12.2.26
Cole Greenwalt is a country artist and songwriter from Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, raised in a family of musicians and storytellers. His father, Troy, and uncle Scott are both songwriters and frequent collaborators, and Cole started performing as a kid with his family band across Western Kentucky.
After earning a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Kentucky, Cole eventually followed the pull of music to Nashville. His sound lives somewhere between modern country and Americana—what his band jokingly calls “Brother Country”: too bro-country for the Americana crowd and too Americana for bro-country radio.
Cole’s songs balance working-class storytelling, heartbreak, humor, and rowdy small-town energy. More Like 32 drew from his family’s coal-country roots, while Alcoholic became his breakout release with more than 220,000 Spotify streams. His latest single, Light It Up, turns up the volume with a high-energy country-rock sound built for the stage.
Outside of his own music, Cole co-founded Neon Outpost, a Nashville songwriter series built around giving rising artists a place to play, connect, and grow.
Whether the song is heavy, funny, or meant to be yelled with a beer in your hand, Cole’s goal is simple: take the storytelling and roots of classic country and bring them into the energy of today.
