Mark Box- 7.1.26
Born and raised in Mississippi, Mark Box grew up surrounded by gospel music, first as a musician before stepping out as a vocalist. After moving to Nashville in 1995, he spent years working for a music publisher, all the while building friendships with local songwriters who encouraged him to write and perform his own songs. Before long, he became a regular in the Nashville songwriter circuit, playing his original music at venues like The Broken Spoke, Tin Roof, The Commodore Lounge, and The Listening Room.
After seventeen years behind a desk, Mark made the leap from the business side of music to the stage. An audition on Lower Broadway led to weekly performances, and soon after he recorded his debut EP, Fields of Home. Along the way, he’s shared the stage with artists like Chris Janson, Kelly Pickler, Craig Campbell, Deanna Carter, and Phil Vassar and has lent his voice to countless demos and studio sessions across Nashville.
In 2023, Mark celebrated his first #1 as a songwriter with “Million Miles,” co-written with Doug Mathis, which held the top spot for nine consecutive weeks on the CDX Traction Southern Gospel & Positive Country charts.
Today, Mark travels nationwide, bringing his signature blend of heartfelt originals and crowd-favorite hits from the ’80s, ’90s, 2000s, and today. Whether solo acoustic or with a full band, his shows showcase both his roots and his love for connecting with audiences through country music. He is currently in the studio working on a new project.
