Mason Summit & Irene Greene are The Prickly Pair, a Nashville-based duo specializing in angsty Americana originals & classic country covers. They met while studying at the USC Thornton School of Music & made their live debut as the Prickly Pair in 2021 at Hotel Cafe. Since moving to Tennessee the following year, the two have released several singles as well as their self-titled debut EP, which came out in October 2025, a week before the couple’s wedding ceremony. Greene & Summit are fixtures on the Nashville music scene, performing frequently at beloved local venues including the 5 Spot, the Basement, 3rd & Lindsley, & the East Room.
